Oyo State Chief of Staff Commends Improved Local Government Elections


In the ongoing local government elections in Oyo State, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, the Chief of Staff to the Governor, expressed satisfaction with the conduct and progress witnessed compared to past elections.

Speaking with journalists shortly after casting his ballot at Laagbedu ward in Ogbomoso South Local Government Area, Ogunwuyi highlighted the positive changes observed, signaling a new era for local government elections in the state.

Ogunwuyi remarked, “OYSIEC has done a good job compared to past local government elections in Oyo State. This election has set a bar for what local government elections have been in the state, and as a party, PDP and the government, we are getting better by the day.”

His statement reflected a sense of optimism regarding the trajectory of electoral processes under the current administration.

Emphasizing the significance of the moment, Ogunwuyi continued, “The progress witnessed today underscores the commitment of our party, the PDP, and the government to ensure transparent and credible elections.
