Ogbomoso South Chair, Oyedokun Oyeniyi Rekindles Hope for Local Government Administration

As people at the grassroot level had be dreaming for when local government administration will be back to the days when it meets their yearnings; when someone will embark on selfless mission for resurgence of Hope, translating in farewell to hunger ; a patriotic leader who places service above elections; in Hon Oyedokun Oyeniyi Timothy, the prayers of residents and indigenes of Ogbomoso South Local Government were answered.

Before the commencement of the current administration, the citizens and residents of Oyo State had alleged the immediate past administration of paralyzing the Local government being the nearest arm of government to those at the grassroot as those appointed by the then administration of Late Abiola Ajimobi led administration does not have the required constitutional privilege to embark on developmental projects at their respective domains as some were not even given enough time to utilize the little in their disposal.

But the narratives is already changing as the Seyi Makinde led administration conducted local government elections on the 22nd of May 2022 to usher in constitutional elected local government chairmen, vice-chairmen and councilors.

However, with the current face of paucity in funds across the globe, the local government has suffered inadequate funding needed to turn things around in a twinkle of an eye as insecurity is also bedeviling the country.

But Oyedokun Oyeniyi Timothy has changed the narratives today, as he is not operating on a guess board but on a well thought-out agenda that will spread across the ten political wards in Ogbomoso South Local Government area.

We have therefore come out to state clearly, some of his the achievements as he is silently turning Ogbomoso South to the epicentre of development among other local council areas in Oyo state.

INFRASTRUCTURE AND DEVELOPMENT

Drilling and Construction of 7 motorized borehole in 7 wards of the local government.

Grading and Expansion of Trunck C Rural Roads in Ogbomoso South Local Government.

Dredging of Alapata, Sunsun, Obadare, AUD, Osuru Laka, Arinkinkin Rivers among others in the local government.

Installation and Electrification of Kajola Market in Ogbomoso south Local Government.

Dredging and Sand filling of Beulah River

Upgrading and Commissioning of stalls in to 20 lock up shops at Kajola Market, Ogbomoso.

Facilitation of 500m tarred road from High School to Methodist Junction Arowomole.

Rehabilitation of collapsed bridge at Methodist (ongoing)

Temporary rehabilitation of Carataker Axis of Oyo-Ilorin Old road for easy accessibility of motorists and commuters.

Grading of roads in Communities like, Osuru, Ile-Anu, Bolorunduro, Area-One, Gomal-Irewolede, Beulah, Kajola Market, Papa-Abede

Approval of a Magistrate Court by Oyo State Government through Ministry of Justice at Estate Area beside Baptist Health Centre.

Facilitation of Solar hybrid mini grid at Bethsaida Community by the Oyo State Ministry of Energy.

Rehabilitation and Clearing of Public cemetery.

Security
Distribution of Motorcycles and Security gadgets to formal and informal security outfits in Ogbomoso South.

Renovation and Furnishing of Amotekun office in Ogbomoso South LG
