Ignore the Ranting of the Opposition, PDP is Winning All – Oyo PDP Declares in Ibarapa

In ensuring no stone is left unturned in securing victory for all her candidates in the Saturday’s local government poll, the leadership of the People’s Democratic Party in Oyo State and the election management team was in Ibarapa where the cheerful party members, leaders and traditional rulers were already on ground.

The deputy chairman and the representative of the Party chairman, Hon. James Olukunle charged all party members not to play into the hands of the opposition by joining them in any act of violence capable of disrupting on the day of election.

He reiterated the Governor’s assertion that PDP will clear all the 33 local government chairmanship candidates and 351 councillorship candidates on Saturday.

The Oyo south senatorial chairman of PDP in Oyo State, Alhaji Kamorudeen Adeyemi commended the Governor Makinde for running a responsive government with human face.

Alhaji Adeyemi charged the excited crowd to troop out in en masse on Saturday to vote for all the PDP candidates as they have done for the rallies.

In his goodwill message, Dr Mikail Aborode, from Ibarapa North commended Governor Seyi Makinde for making the PDP the darling Party of the people in Oyo State. He said the Governor’s laudable work has made it easier for the party to canvass for votes and support from the people.

He further implored the candidates not to renege on the promises they made to the people as the promises have become a covenant between them, the people and God.

In his own goodwill message, a former commissioner from Ibarapa East, former Hon. M. A Ojoawo charged the people to keep faith with the Engr Seyi Makinde led administration.

The former commissioner urged the people not to give in to the lies of the opposition. He said Governor Makinde’s achievements are all there for all to see unlike the lies being peddled by the opposition. He urged the people to continue to support the PDP and Engr Seyi Makinde administration as it is too late for anyone to contemplate going to the opposition party.

Addressing the crowd at Eruwa town hall, the commissioner for trade, investment and cooperative in Oyo State, Hon. Ademola Ojo said Governor Makinde has set a developmental pace that no former governors in the history of Oyo State has been matched. This, he said has given edge to all the candidates of the PDP standing for election as there are many achievements to campaign with.

Hon Ojo made it known that the Saturday poll is going to be PDP all through and if anyone wants to do otherwise it will end up futile.

He emphasized the PDP as the most popular and powerful in Oyo.

Seizing the opportunity, the commissioner for youths and sports, Hon. Adegoke Wasilat implored the youths not to be used as instruments of violence before, during and after the election. This is just as she said Saturday poll is the turn of the PDP which shouldn’t cause issues as the opposition has had theirs.

While presenting the flags to the chairmanship and vice chairmanship candidates in Ibarapa, the Director General of Election Management Team and the Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party in Oyo State, Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke said the Saturday’s election is a PDP affair hence the opposition should go and wait for their turn as the Governor has advised them during the Ido campaign.

He further admonished party members to ignore the rantings of the opposition parties about rigging as the allegation is baseless and lacking substance as the allegation should be termed as cry of a defeated entity.

The secretary further explained that the APC has technically accepted defeat and that’s why they have resorted to making empty noise which is their stock in trade.

He assured the teeming party faithfuls that the party will deliver all the 351 councillors and all the 33 local government chairmen in Oyo State.

Adeleke urged party members to troop out in their numbers to vote for all PDP candidates on Saturday and they should ensure the results are written where they should be.

He warned anyone who is planning to foment troubles while the electoral process is on will be caught and charged to court as appropriate.

The candidates of the People’s Democratic Party who received the Party’s flags included Hon. Kazeem Arogundade Owolabi and his runningmate, Hon. Olakunle Olalowo from Ibarapa East; Hon. Lawal Lateef Akorede and his co-runner, Hon. Bisi Akande from Ibarapa North; and Hon. Adeleke Ayodele Olusola
and runningmate, Hon. Rasheed Babarinde from Ibarapa Central.

Party stakeholders across the three local government present were Alhaji kamoru Adeyemi, Chief Wale Atanda Alase, Hon. (Mrs) Funmilayo Orisadeyi, Hon. Monsuru Oduola, Hon. Gbenga Obalowo, Hon. Adedoyin Adeoye and a host of others.

Part of the State executive committee present at the campaign were Mr Ogunsina Michael Oluwaseun, the State youth leader and the acting publicity secretary of the party, Hon. Adelabu Aderemi Alaba, the State auditor; Mrs Dupe Temileyi and amongst others.
