Ogunwuyi organizes special prayers for Makinde, donates bus to Ogbomoso CAN

… assures continuity of good governance, dividends of democracy to Ogbomoso zone

The Chief of Staff to the Oyo State Governor, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, on Friday, organized a special prayer for his Principal, Governor Seyi Makinde, appreciating God for his continued mercy, wisdom, power and sound health over his life. 

The leadership of Christian Association of Nigeria in Ogbomoso zone also made a special prayer request for the governor, Ogunwuyi, Oyo State, Ogbomoso land and all PDP candidates from the zone, seeking for total peace, victory and protection before, during and after the forthcoming General elections. 

A bus was donated to the Christians Association of Nigeria, CAN, Ogbomoso Zone, to aid its gospel evangelical mission in the state.

While presenting the bus to the CAN Chairman, Venerable Dr. Joseph Adegoke after the special prayer held at his residence, Ogunwuyi stressed that he would continue to complement the good efforts of Governor Seyi Makinde, which is poised towards religious tolerance, unity, and co-existence in the state.

He reiterated the governor’s four cardinal agenda, stating that the administration has achieved major milestones across all sectors and would continue to do more after his re-election.

“We are sincerely appreciating your supports and prayers since the inception of our administration as evidenced in the success and stability we have enjoyed thus far”

“We hope, the entire Christian community will continue to give us their supports as our administration won’t stop placing premium on religious leaders,” Ogunwuyi stated.

While adding that the current administration has done well for Ogbomoso zone in terms of development and empowerment, ogunwuyi noted that many sons and daughters of the land are serving in the state in one capacity or the other. 

“The governor has done well for us in this zone and we have to be grateful to him. We appreciate him for all of this because we know he will do more for us. Let us look at the state being the sole ownership of  LAUTECH, which will contribute to the economic expansion and integration of the zone.

“So, this season is significant as it is a season of joy when the world was blessed with the birth of our savior, Jesus Christ, his teachings and way of life must always be celebrated with total contribution to the development of Christendom both spiritually and materially,” Ogunwuyu said.

During his short sermon tagged ‘Yet, the Lord is good’, Revr. Dr. Tayo Adeyanju appreciated the goodness of the Lord in the life of the state Governor, the Chief of Staff, those working with him directly and indirectly, saying “yet, the Lord is good.”

At the event were, Alhaji Rasak Gbadegesin, Bar. Olaleye Olasunkanmi, Hon. Akinwale Akinwole, Hon. Olufemi Onireti, Hon. Sanjo Adedoyin and other PDP candidates in the zone. Others are, Prince Felix Akande, Hon. Taiwo Alagbo, Hon. Akano Taiwo, Apostle Olamoyegun JP, Hon. Banji Folaranmi. Hon. Oyedepo Ezikiel. Alh. Owonikoko, Hon. George Ogunlade, Engr. Abu Sallam, Prince Adeleke Ajala, Hon. Akin Ogundele, Chairmen of the five local government areas in the zone and Party chairmen.
