2022 Christmas: A time of Gratitude and Thanksgiving in Oyo State – Oyedokun Timothy
Chairman Ogbomoso South Local Government, Hon Oyedokun Oyeniyi Timothy, led members of his executive council to the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols of Local Government Christian Staff Fellowship of Nigeria, ALGOSFEN, where Pastor Olagoun Akintayo stated that Christians should embrace the message of Christmas.
Hon Oyedokun took the first lesson at the Festival from Isaiah 9 : 1-7 which signalled the commencement of the event that took place at the Council Secretariat Chapel, Arowomole on Tuesday.
Christmas is celebrated worldwide to mark the birth of Jesus Christ.
Oyedokun urged the people to reflect on the message of the birth of Jesus, which is about love, peace and hope.He said “this should be a season of gratitude and thanksgiving considering the gloom in the state at this te since Seyi Makinde government came on board and I know workers too will support this to go beyond four years.
The Vice Chairman; Hon Issac Olajide, Leader of the Parliament; Hon Alao Olatunji, Head of Local Government Administration; Mr Adeniran A A were among those who took lessons at the event.
