Oyedokun Oyeniyi Inspects On-going Projects, Insists on Quality Works and Timely Completion

The Executive Chairman, Ogbomoso South Local Government, Hon Oyedokun Oyeniyi Timothy, on Monday has inspected some of the on-going rehabilitation of township roads in the council area to ascertain the level of work and also ensure timely completion and quality work.

Hon Oyedokun began his inspection at the Ijeru – Methodist Road rehabilitation project, where he was taken round by the Site Manager, who explained that the work has progressed well with no disturbance.

The Contractor disclosed that the Ijeru – Methodist Road had so far been graded and materials for sand filling are already on site with asphalt overlay to follow.

Oyedokun Oyeniyi express gratitude on behalf of his people in Ogbomoso South to His Excellency, Engr Seyi Makinde the Governor of Oyo State for bringing to succor to those plying the road and business owners around the axis, assured that the road project would be completed this December 2022.

He also inspected the ongoing construction which is set to commence at Alapata to Akunko, both in Ogbomoso South Local Government area.

Residents of both areas, who received the council chairman at the project site, expressed their happiness over the rehabilitation and construction of the roads.

In a statement made available to newsmen by his press secretary, Femi Ajiboye, Hon. Oyedokun said he was satisfied with the level of how the projects were being done and called on residents of the areas to take full ownership of government’s facilities in their areas.

The Council Chairman noted that his visit was to ensure that contractors conform to project specifications, get value for money and ensure their speedy completion.

He restated his commitment to ensure other debilitated roads across the local government are rehabilitated, promising that new roads would also be constructed. Has he also sought the support and cooperation of all and sundry in Ogbomoso South for the Seyi Makinde led administration to spread dividends of democracy across the state
