Local Governments Are Moribund, Makinde Going In 2023 — Olanite, Oyo APC Scribe

The Secretary of the All Progressives Congress in Oyo State, Alhaji Tajudeen Olanite has said the party is not in any way missing Chief Adebayo Adelabu who has decamped to the Accord Party from the broom party.

Fielding questions from Aanuoluwapo Omorinde on BOTTOM LINE -IBR’s flagship political programme, the APC scribe who described Senator Teslim Folarin as a saleable Candidate said the latter has been reaching out to the aggrieved members of that political party.

“He is reaching out to people to reconcile them and you must have been hearing his moves”.

When asked if the party is not missing Chief Adebayo Adelabu, Olanite said “well he is a party man before and now for me to say we miss him, no! In politics you don’t make yourself, the people make you. I was part of that game when he was on board. Am I with him now? I mean when he was the flag-bearer of our party. We don’t miss him to that extent that you Journalists want to put it”.

Speaking further, the APC Secretary noted that politics is about strategy adding that in that regards, Teslim Folarin has gained mastery.

According to him, the 2023 election will be about plans and strategy and not social media propaganda.

He vowed that the APC will dislodge the ruling party from Agodi Government House in 2023.
“Seyi Makinde is going in 2023. Street agitators are not good politicians. You can hire anybody to follow you. People are always available to collect your money and when the time comes, they will abandon you. That is what is happening in Oyo State now.

His words “Oyo State is now indebted State.
We have been engulfed in debt.”

When reminded of the Debt Management Office and National Bureau of Statistics’ report which the government of Oyo State celebrates on the state of the economy of the Pace State, he advised Governor Seyi Makinde to wake ip as he will be given a run for his money.

“He should wake up because we are going to do it (the campaign), man to man. We know where we are going and we know what to do”.

“The Electorates know what is happening. They have tried two different parties and now they know better. People are complaining about so many things. Is the Oyo State economy growing? Olanite dismissed the rumour that the State Chairman of the party, Chief Isaac Omodewu has been picked as the running mate to Senator Teslim Folarin stressing that nothing of such happened as the party is yet to take a decision on it.

While announcing one Adebayo Shittu Lukman as the Assistant Publicity Secretary of the party, he said the APC is deliberately not opposing the policies of the Seyi Makinde led government as that will amount to giving the Governor opportunities to regularly correct his mistakes.

He however said very soon, his party will reel out the misdeeds of the incumbent government in form of campaign.
