Oriire APC Pass Vote of Confidence in Gunju Ojo’s Leadership

Members and leaders of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in Oriire local government area of Oyo state today passed vote of confidence in the leadership of former speaker of Oyo Assembly, RT Hon Gunju Ojo as their mouthpiece in party affairs.

The members of the party said the “the vote of confidence is imperative to encourage the former parliamentarian to continue its strides in piloting the party affairs to its next level, as to also savage the party from going down, due to ongoing crisis caused by some minority in the party who are trying to hijack the party.”

Speaking at the event which drew delegates across the ten political wards in Orrire local government, Hon Yinka Odekanmi said the lingering crisis in the Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC)  would be resolved soon, as the people who are the majority will definitely take over the affairs of the party, urging them to stay firm with their resolve.

In his address, RT Hon Gunju Ojo disclosed that the other group and their collaborators who manipulated the delegates’ list, results of the ward congress and state Congress have failed because the new leadership of the party has thrown their manipulated lists away.

He said ” we now await further instructions from the national leadership of the party, which will come after the scheduled stakeholders meetings”.

Meanwhile, House of Representatives aspirants under the APC were also present at the meeting, Special Adviser to Late Governor Abiola Ajimobi on Media Bolaji Tunji, and representative of Captain Jacob Ajao also were present at the meeting.

Among leaders present at the meeting includes, Former Speaker Oyo State House of Assembly RT Hon Gunju Ojo, Former Chairmen in Oriire local government Hon Babatunde Ahmed, Hon Yinka Odekanmi and Hon Joel Adeniran.

Also Hon Simeon Alao, Alh Fasasi Anafi, Hon Raheem Ahmed, among others.
