Hon Olamijuwonlo Alao-Akala, first son of late Governor Christopher Adebayo Alao-Akala, and Hon Jacob Ajao Adejumo, incumbent legislator representing Ogbomoso North/Ogbomoso South/Oriire Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, have reportedly clashed over who will represent the constituency in 2023 on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

The two gladiators met few days ago at Destiny house,Sekoni office of Alao-Akala, sequel to an invitation by Lamiju for the two to jaw-jaw on the matter.

An insider informed, “It is true they met to discuss politics. Hon Lamjiu had invited Captain Ajao on phone. Ajao felt reluctant to honour the invitation preferring Lamiju rather come to meet him at the location he was.

“However, Ajao obliged him and went with private security agents. They met under a tense atmosphere. Lamiju’s point was clear, let’s support whoever is picked as candidate for House of Representatives in our party. Lamiju promised to support Ajao if Ajao was picked while requesting same promise from the elderly man.

“But Captain Ajao retorted pointblank that if he missed the ticket he would contest on the platform of another party. He insisted on not budging if he lost out on the ticket.”

The meeting ended in stalemate with the former chairman of Ogbomoso North local government unable to extract a promise of amity from the man his late father helped to office in 2019.
