BREAKING: Herdsmen Strike In Ogbomoso, Kidnap Supervisor At Alao-Akala Farm, Demands N100m Ransom

Late Chief Christopher Adebayo Alao-Akala’s business empire has been thrown into turmoil following the kidnap of a supervisor in his farm at Jabata in Surulere local government.

The kidnappers, suspected to be Fulani herdsmen, are said to have demanded a ransom of N100m.

This is coming amid the joy of the birth a twins by the first son of the late Bobagunwa of Ogbomosoland, Olamijuwonlo Alao-Akala, whose naming ceremony is expected to come up Wednesday.

The incident which happened at about 7pm on Saturday, has put the family and business associates of the late former governor of Oyo state, who died on January 12 this year into suspense.

Confirming the incident a close family source disclosed the kidnappers, whom he revealed are Fulani herdsmen, have since opened line of communication with the family demanding N100m for his release.

“Yes, they are Fulani herdsmen quite alright but they speak a smattering of Yoruba.

“The victim was kidnapped in the farm amid staccato of gunshots. We have been trying to negotiate with them even though the police had been informed,” the source disclosed.

It was confirmed by another source at the Police Area Command Office, Ogbomoso, informing that the police are on to it.

The victim, identified as Christopher Bakare, is said to be a native of Gbongan in Osun state and was employed in the farm about four years ago.

The Amotekun Corps commander in Surulere local government, Chief Elebe meanwhile could not be reached on phone for comments.
