An exclusive insight obtained by RoundOyo has revealed that key stakeholders within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogbomoso South have quietly reached a firm consensus ahead of the next electoral cycle, reaffirming both party unity and strategic direction within the constituency.

According to a highly placed anonymous stakeholder who spoke on condition of anonymity, the closed-door meeting brought together influential party leaders and elders who unanimously agreed that the PDP remains a cohesive political family under the leadership of Seyi Makinde. The source further disclosed that loyalty to the Engr Seyi Makinde led administration and alignment with the broader leadership structure, including Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, formed a central part of the discussions.

At the core of the meeting, the insider revealed, was a unanimous endorsement of the Majority Leader of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Prince Sanjo Adedoyin, to seek reelection for the Ogbomoso South State Constituency seat. The decision, described as decisive and undisputed, reportedly reflects widespread satisfaction with his legislative performance, and engagement with constituents.

“The confidence in him is organic,” the source noted, adding that stakeholders believe his continued representation would consolidate the party’s influence and deepen its connection with voters across the constituency.

The meeting, though not publicly announced, is said to have ended with a renewed resolve among party stakeholders to intensify grassroots mobilization, strengthen internal cohesion and sustain the electoral dominance previously recorded by the PDP in the area.

While party officials are yet to issue any formal statement, this development signals early strategic positioning within Ogbomoso South, as the PDP quietly aligns its structure ahead of forthcoming political contests.
