Makinde Deepens Party Strength, Gifts Oyo PDP Exco Vehicles

The Oyo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed profound appreciation to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for the presentation of vehicles to the 39 members of the party’s State Executive Committee as an early Christmas gift.

The party described the gesture as a clear demonstration of the governor’s inclusive leadership style and his unwavering commitment to strengthening the party’s internal structures across the state.

It will be recalled that Governor Makinde had earlier, in January this year, also presented vehicles to members of the immediate past State Executive Committee, a move widely seen as consistent with his tradition of recognising and motivating party leaders.

In a statement signed by the State Chairman of the party, Hon. Dayo Ogungbenro, the PDP noted that the gesture goes beyond material support, describing it as an affirmation of the governor’s appreciation for loyalty, service, and shared responsibility in party administration.

According to the statement, Governor Makinde’s sustained support for party structures has continued to boost the morale of party leaders, strengthen mobilisation efforts, and reinforce the PDP’s collective resolve to advance its ideals and programmes across Oyo State.

The party further expressed gratitude to the governor, offering prayers for divine wisdom, sound health, and greater accomplishments as he continues to steer the affairs of the state.

The PDP reaffirmed its commitment to working in unity and steadfastness in support of the Makinde administration’s vision of sustainable development and good governance for the people of Oyo State.
