PDP Councillors in Ogbomoso South Distribute 10,000 Exercise Books, Complementing Makinde’s Education Drive

In line with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s vision of prioritizing education and complementing the efforts of Governor Seyi Makinde in Oyo State, councillors in Ogbomoso South Local Government have commenced the distribution of 10,000 exercise books to pupils across schools in the council area.
Flagging off the exercise, the Executive Chairman, Hon. Oyedokun Oyeniyi Timothy, said the initiative was a demonstration of the PDP government’s commitment to the welfare of the people and the future of the younger generation.
“This initiative reflects the collective commitment of every political office holder under my administration to contribute their quota to the upliftment of education. We continue to place education at the heart of our development agenda. By supporting our pupils with learning materials, we are not only investing in their future but also aligning with the vision of Governor Seyi Makinde, whose policies have consistently given education a pride of place in Oyo State,” he stated.
The House Leader, Hon. Alao Stephen Olatunji, stressed that the distribution will extend to all schools across the council area, reaffirming that the PDP government will continue to ensure no child is left behind.
“What we are doing here in Ogbomoso South is a reflection of the larger picture Governor Seyi Makinde has painted for us at the state level. The PDP remains the only party that truly cares about the masses and is ready to invest in the next generation,” he declared.
Schools visited during the flag-off include Methodist Primary School 1 and 2, Onpetu DC Primary School, the School for Students with Special Needs Ogbomoso South, Molete Primary School 1, 2, and 3, and Ayegun Primary School 1, 2, and 3.
Councillors present at the event include Deputy Leader, Ibrahim Mudasiru (Akata Ward), Alade Onabisi Abigail, Ogunmola Taiwo, Oyebamiji Samuel, Adeleye Folarami, Abolade Kola, Bolade Olatunbosun, Shiitu Jamiu, and Akinsola James Olusola.
Also in attendance were the Vice Chairperson, Alhaja Mujidat Kareem; Council Secretary, James Oyediran; Chief of Staff, Hon. Sunday Olawale; all Supervisory Councillors, and Special Assistants.
Speaking also on behalf of his colleagues, the Deputy Leader, Hon. Ibrahim Mudasiru, said PDP’s commitment to education in Ogbomoso South is firm, stressing that the gesture is part of a broader agenda to support the state government’s free education policy and to create a conducive learning environment for every child.
“Education remains our priority in Ogbomoso South, just as Governor Makinde has made it the cornerstone of his administration. Together, under the PDP, we will keep ensuring that no child is left behind,” he affirmed.
