Asiwaju Musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo, and Delta, Leads Hundreds to Ogbomoso for Janazah of Late Imam Yellow

The ancient city of Ogbomoso witnessed an unprecedented gathering of Islamic faithful, community leaders, and dignitaries as the Asiwaju Musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo, and Delta, Alhaji Khamis Olatunde Badmus, led hundreds of mourners to the Janazah (funeral prayer) of the late Alhaji Imam Sadiq Aminullahi Yellow, popularly known as Imam Yellow, the Chief Imam of Akbar Deen Central Mosque, Ogbomoso.
The funeral, which was held with deep reverence and spiritual solemnity, attracted clerics, traditional rulers, social figures, and sympathizers from across the Southwest region, all gathered to pay their final respects to a man many described as “a guiding light and teacher of truth.”
Imam Yellow, who passed away early on Saturday , was a widely respected Islamic scholar known for his profound teachings, humble demeanor, and relentless commitment to da’wah. He was credited with converting over 3,000 individuals to Islam over his lifetime, and for his pivotal role in strengthening the faith and unity among Muslims in Ogbomoso and beyond.
His death has sparked a wave of heartfelt tributes and condolences, with many hailing his spiritual legacy, his dedication to knowledge, and the moral integrity he upheld. Attendees at the Janazah described him as a “father to all” and “a pillar of Islamic guidance.”
Among his surviving children is Engr. Tajudeen Al-Ameen, one of Nigeria’s foremost broadcast engineers, who, alongside family members, received dignitaries and mourners during the funeral.
The story of his passing and burial is being told not only in words but in images, with several photographs capturing the large turnout, emotional moments, and spiritual atmosphere of the Janazah ceremony.
