The Oyo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has summoned Hon. Adedokun Emmanuel, the Executive Chairman of Saki East Local Government, alongside some councillors and political functionaries, to appear before its Disciplinary Panel over alleged anti-party activities and complacency.

In a statement released by the Acting Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr. Micheal Ogunsina, the PDP disclosed that it received multiple complaints regarding the conduct of the council chairman and some members of his administration. These complaints, submitted through the State Secretary, Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke, accused the officials of engaging in activities detrimental to the party’s unity and progress in Saki East.

“The leadership of the party takes these allegations seriously, as any form of anti-party conduct threatens the integrity, strength, and cohesion of our great party,” the statement read.

The PDP further stressed its commitment to discipline, integrity, and due process, affirming that the Disciplinary Panel would conduct a thorough investigation to determine appropriate actions.

“The panel is mandated to ensure fairness, transparency, and strict adherence to the PDP’s constitution in handling these allegations,” Ogunsina stated.

The party reassured its members of its dedication to strengthening the PDP across Oyo State, urging all officeholders to align with the party’s values and objectives.

The summons signals the PDP’s resolve to maintain internal discipline as it prepares for future political engagements in the state.
