Adeleke, Rahman, Adesina, Others Storm Ibadan North West General Meeting, Donate N2.6m to Party Faithful

The leadership of the People’s Democratic Party in Ibadan North West stormed the general meeting of the Party at Ekotedo. Speaking at the meeting, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Ibadan North West/Ibadan South West Federal Constituency, Hon. Labule Ishola said it is always his wish that all the other local government areas in Oyo State emulate the steadfastness of the PDP in Ibadan North West Local Government. He said the Party has never failed in all elections and it won’t in the next ones.

He also commended Gov Makinde for putting Oyo State on a developmental pedestal, saying Oyo State under the Seyi Makinde led administration has achieved tremendous achievements and growth which have never been seen in the history of Oyo State.

The SA on Ibadan Northwest and South West Federal Constituency commended the Executive Chairman of the local government for securing lives and property in the local government such that people can now go about with their businesses with fear during the day and at night.

Speaking, the Executive Chairman of Ibadan North West, Hon. Rahman Adepoju said the party leadership in the local government has tried as much as possible to reward loyal party members during the selection of supervisory councillors and special assistants at the local government level even though the reward cannot go round all at once. He charged all party members to keep faith with the party as it will continue to reward loyal and committed party members.

Hon. Adepoju enthused that all appointees and elected members of the party will present their score cards at the right and everyone will be rewarded accordingly.

The Oyo State People’s Democratic Party scribe, Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke while addressing the crowd which converged at the Ebenezer African Church Primary School, Ekotedo, commended the Governor Makinde for running a government with human face. He said Governor Makinde is the only governor in the history of Oyo State who has recruited the highest number of job applicants without application fees.

Alhaji Adeleke said he has received reports that some appointees have not been alive to their responsibilities to the party; something he said the party frowns at.

Alhaji Adeleke declared that all appointees should pay their dues to the party.

Announcing the money donated to the party at the meeting, the local government chairman of the party in Ibadan North West, Alhaji Lukman Adeshina announced the sum of N2,600,000 as donations from party leaders.

Leaders present at the meeting included; the Vice Chairman of the local government, Hon. Ganiy Omotoso, Hon. Dotun Ọláoyè, Hon. Kola Anibire, Hon Kunle Oduola, Chief of Staff to the Chairman, Hon. Kazeem Fantola, the assistant secretary Hon. Bolanle Oladeji, Hon. Gbolahan Ibikunle, Hon Ridwan Asukuna,Councilors, supervisory councillors and special assistants.

Other leaders who were unavoidably absent but sent their regards are the Chairman, Local Government Service Commission, Dr. Remi Ayodele, Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Hon. Wasiu Olatunbosun, the Chairman of Oyo State Hospital Management Board, Hon. (Dr) Akin Fagbemi, Hon Femi Josiah, Col. Quadri, Alhaji Badmus and Hon Tallest.
