Oyo PDP Postpones State Congress to September 29
The Oyo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has postponed the conclusion of its ongoing state congress.
In a statement signed by the Acting Publicity Secretary, Micheal Ogunsina, the party announced that the congress, earlier scheduled to end on Saturday, September 27, will now be concluded on Monday, September 29, 2025.
The venue remains the Lekan Salami Sports Complex, Adamasingba, Ibadan, with the exercise expected to commence by 9 a.m.
Ogunsina, in the statement, apologized to party members, elders, stakeholders, political office holders, and delegates for any inconvenience the postponement might cause, while affirming that all other information about the congress remains valid.
The Oyo PDP congress, once concluded, is expected to further consolidate the party’s internal structure ahead of the 2027 general elections.
