Oyo PDP Appreciates Makinde, Members – Says Oyo People Pleased with Makinde and PDP

The leadership of the People’s Democratic Party in Oyo State has commended the good people of Ibadan North Federal Constituency for renewing their faith, support and trust in the leadership of the Engr Seyi Makinde led government and PDP.

The PDP while reacting to the electoral victory recorded by its candidate, Hon. Folajimi Sunday Oyekunle (Don) in the 2025 Ibadan North Federal Constituency By-election held on Saturday August 16th, the Party said its victory has shown that Oyo State remains a PDP State and the people are absolutely with the Party.

In a statement written and signed by the State Chairman, Hon. Dayo Ogungbenro; Secretary, Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke and the Acting
Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Hon. Micheal Ogunsina, the Party profoundly appreciated the governor, Engr Seyi Makinde for always providing a worthwhile leadership at every point.

“Governor Seyi Makinde has shown that opposition parties can still win elections without subjecting themselves to the intimidation of the ruling Party.

While other States are jittery, Oyo State known as pace setter has once again set the pace for a resounding landmark victory in the history of the electoral victory in the State. This electoral victory recorded in the Ibadan North Federal Constituency by-election is no doubt a pass of vote of confidence on the government of Engr Seyi Makinde. It shows that the people of Oyo State are pleased with the PDP led government”

The Party equally extended its gratitude to the members of the Oyo State Governor’s Advisory Council, PDP members of the Federal House of Representatives, PDP members of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Commissioners, Local Government chairmen, Councilors, Supervisory councilors and Special Assistants for their roles in securing victory for the Party.

“The Party has taken due notes of your contributions towards this electoral victory and we promise that none of these contributions will ever go unrewarded.”

The PDP also specially thanked its leaders, stakeholders, members, supporters and volunteers in Ibadan North Local Government for delivering its candidate, Hon. Folajimi Sunday Oyekunle in the election which has been adjudged to be the most peaceful election conducted in recent years.

The Party also assured the people of Ibadan North Federal Constituency and Oyo State in general that the business of bringing good governance to their doormat will not be abandoned, the statement concluded.
