PDP to Booda Sunday Adeyemo: Ogbomoso South Not a Dumping Ground for Political Almajiris

Leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ibapon Ward of Ogbomoso South Local Government Area have dismissed the recent resignation of Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Booda Sunday, describing him as a political almajiri and a leopard in sheep’s clothing whose exit means absolutely nothing to the party.
In a statement signed by Oladele Emmanuel Ilufoye, Chairman of PDP in Ibapon Ward, and Atanda Joshua Olusola, the ward secretary, the party made it clear that Adeyemo was never a card carrying nor committed member of the PDP structure in the ward, and has only been jumping from one platform to another in desperate pursuit of personal ambition.
According to the ward leadership, “Mr. Adeyemo is a political almajiri who, after failing to secure the NNPP ticket for Ogbomoso South in the 2023 elections, moved into the PDP with the sole aim of chasing political ambitions at all cost. He came not to serve or build but to use and move on.”
The party maintained that while every individual has the right to make political choices, such exits “do not shake our foundation.” They insisted that the PDP remains strong, united, and well-positioned under the leadership of Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi.
The party further revealed that Adeyemo has no known ward base, as he has falsely claimed different wards over time. He is not a card-carrying member of Ibapon Ward and he has never voted in any polling unit in Ibapon Ward, nor has he been known to us as a participant in local party activities or ward meetings.
“We have seen through him a long time ago. His type seeks relevance, not service. He’s a politician of convenience who wants positions handed to him on a platter without loyalty, without sacrifice, and without roots. PDP is not a refuge for rejected and recycled aspirants,” the statement added.
They reiterated that the PDP remains focused and solid under the leadership of Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi and that the departure of a known political interloper like Adeyemo only strengthens the party’s resolve.
“To all loyal PDP members in Ogbomoso South, this is no time for distraction. Our party is intact. Our structure is alive. Our vision is clear. We are growing with people who believe in teamwork and truth not those who see politics as a game of jumping fences,” the leaders said.
They concluded by calling on the general public to disregard the noise surrounding the resignation, stating that the PDP in Ogbomoso South has no space for people who claim membership for political positions.
