Oyo PDP Felicitates Muslims on Eid-el-Fitr, Calls for Religious Tolerance

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State has extended warm greetings to the Muslim faithful across the state as they mark the end of Ramadan and celebrate Eid-el-Fitr.
In a statement issued by the party’s chairman, Hon. Dayo Ogungbenro, the PDP acknowledged the significance of the holy month, commending Muslims for their commitment to prayers, self-discipline, and acts of charity.
“The values of sacrifice, patience, and compassion observed during Ramadan should continue to guide our daily lives. We pray that the blessings of this sacred season bring peace, prosperity, and harmony to every home in Oyo State,” the statement read.
The party also emphasized the importance of religious tolerance and peaceful coexistence among residents, noting that unity remains crucial to the state’s progress. It urged the Muslim community to continue praying for Oyo State and its leadership, particularly Governor Seyi Makinde, as he works towards sustainable development.
“As we celebrate, let us embrace the values of love, kindness, and generosity to strengthen communal bonds and build a more united society,” the statement added.
The PDP reaffirmed its commitment to fostering peace and inclusivity in the state, wishing Muslims a joyous and fulfilling Eid-el-Fitr.
