Circular Road: Ibadan residents storm Oyo secretariat over demolition of houses

Hundreds of Ibadan residents on Wednesday, September 18, stormed the Oyo state government Secretariat located at Agodi to protest the demolition of their houses.

Recall that many houses have been demolished as a result of the ongoing construction of the Ibadan circular road.

Scores of residents were stranded when the government began the demolition of the houses.

The affected house owners stormed the Secretariat to protest against the demolition of their properties.

The protesters, who carried various placards demanded stoppage of the ongoing demolition of their houses.

Some of the residents appealed to the state government under the leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde to halt the demolition.
