Empowering Future Leaders: Hon. Anthony Adepoju Celebrates One-Day House of Representatives Initiative
In a groundbreaking event that highlighted the power of youth engagement and community collaboration, Hon. (Dr.) Anthony Adebayo Adepoju addressed a diverse audience during the One-Day House of Representatives initiative. This event, designed to foster future legislators from Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North, showcased the exceptional talents of young minds from the federal constituency.
The One-Day House of Representatives initiative, a pioneering effort by the Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituencies, aims to inspire children to succeed regardless of socio-economic background, incorporating youth-driven initiatives, and producing intellectually minded future leaders. This initiative also seeks to elevate the standard of education in the two local government areas that Hon. Adepoju represents in the National Assembly.
Hon. Adepoju, quoting the author of “Lord of the Flies,” emphasized the importance of simple yet impactful ideas in public service. “The greatest ideas are the simplest,” he said, reflecting on the initiative’s success in garnering widespread acclaim.
The highlight of the event was the celebration of Peace Oluwaseyi Oladosu for her outstanding performance in the One Day House of Representatives competition. Hon. Adepoju expressed deep gratitude to Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, PhD, for his unwavering support in building capacity among younger generations. The honour bestowed upon Peace Oladosu during the plenary session of the Nigerian House of Representatives marked a historic moment in Nigeria’s democracy.
