Ogbomoso Internal Roads Rehabilitation to Commence in Three Months – Ogunwuyi

In a significant development, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, Chief of Staff to Governor Seyi Makinde, announced that the rehabilitation of internal roads in Ogbomoso will commence within the next three months.

This announcement was made on Sunday during the inauguration thanksgiving ceremony of Hon. Oyedokun Oyeniyi Timothy, the newly elected chairman of Ogbomoso South Local Government. The event took place at the Idi oro Baptist Church in Ogbomoso.

The ceremony witnessed the presence of notable political figures, including the Majority Leader of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Sanjo Adedoyin; Hon. Taiwo Alagbe; Hon. Felix Akande; Hon. John Oke among others. Traditional leadership was led by the Onpetu of Ijeru Kingdom, Oba Sunday Oyediran Olagbami Osekun III. Several party leaders and community members also attended the event, reflecting widespread support for the new chairman and the anticipated road rehabilitation project.

In his address, Otunba Ogunwuyi emphasized the state government’s commitment to improving the infrastructure in Ogbomoso. He stated that the rehabilitation project is part of Governor Makinde’s broader agenda to enhance connectivity and boost economic activities within the region. “The rehabilitation of these roads will not only ease transportation but also significantly contribute to the economic development of Ogbomoso,” he said.

Hon. Oyedokun Oyeniyi Timothy, in his inaugural speech, expressed gratitude for the support from the state government and pledged to work diligently towards the development of Ogbomoso South Local Government. He highlighted the importance of collaboration between the local government and the state to achieve tangible progress.

The commencement of the rehabilitation project is expected to address the deteriorating condition of the roads, thereby enhancing the quality of life for the inhabitants of Ogbomoso.
