NEW YEAR: Gunju Ojo felicitate with Nigerians, Says Adelabu will impact Oyo Positively in 2023 as Governor.
Former Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly and Chieftain of the Accord political party, Rt Hon Gunju Ojo has felicitated with Nigerians in this festive season and wish them joy and prosperity in the New Year 2023.
According to a statement by the seasoned parliamentarian, he urged Nigerians to continue to demonstrate love and exhibit compassion towards one another and extend hands of support to the less privileged and vulnerable members of the society.
“I congratulate all Nigerians who are today ushering in a New Year in an atmosphere of peace. While a lot needs to be done to increase the level of security in the land, revive our economy, gainfully engage our youths, the New Year gives us another opportunity to take steps that would lead us to our desired destination as a state and country.
“Also, I congratulate the incoming Governor of Oyo State, Accord Party Gubernatorial Candidate, Chief Adebayo Adelabu famously known as Penkelemesi and his Deputy, Professor Mrs Abiodun Ayandele as they prepare for the task ahead in 2023. Similarly I felicitate with the Accord state leader, Senator Ayoade Adeseun and the Oyo state Accord Elders Council.”
He expressed confidence in the former deputy governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Chief Adebayo Adelabu aka Penkelemesi to positively impact the lives of the people of Oyo State, when voted in as the next Governor in 2023.
According to him, he said Adelabu Adelabu led Accord party when voted into government would leave no stone unturned in developing the state and improving on the lives of the people, saying the accord gubernatorial candidate would use his wealth of experience in public service to develop the state.
Gunju Ojo while felicitating with members of the Accord Political party and citizens of Oyo State added that “The year 2023 is a crucial year to all Nigerians because it is a year of general elections. I, therefore, urge residents and citizens of Oyo State to make sure that they abide in peace without being involved in violence throughout the year, especially before, during and after the election.
“We should all distant ourselves from electoral manipulation in whatever form. I urge politicians not to be too desperate to be voted into power and get themselves involved in using thugs to cause chaos or commit electoral fraud. Vote buying is evil, all stakeholders should shun it. Also am calling on Nigerians to select the path of moving forward in 2020 in choosing the presidential candidate of their choice,” he added.
