Identities of kidnapped Ogbomoso hotelier, worker revealed as N100m ransom is demanded
The abductors of a hotelier and his workers in Ogbomoso have established contact with the family of the man, requesting a ransom of N100m to secure the release of the two.
The hotelier, whose name is given as Oluwagbemiga Owolabi, and one of his staffers, a lady simply identified as Rachael, were abducted yesterday evening in the hotel – Tana Suite – in Abaa, by men suspected to be Fulani herders and Yoruba elements.
Despite the prompt response of security agents, the men of the underworld evaded interceptions and arrests.
“A ransom of N100m was initially placed but after intense negotiations the bandits reduced the amount to N60m,” a close relation made this known to newsmen this evening.
Nonetheless, the source lamented, “But how can we raise such amount of money? People should pray for us.”
Mr. Oluwagbemiga Owolabi, is said to be hypertensive and so maintains his health by taking prophylactic drugs on regular basis.
This is thus a source of additional worry to his relations, fearing a worsening of the condition.
The abduction is the third in Ogbomoso zone in the last three weeks with a total of N8m allegedly doled out as ransom to secure the release of the two earlier victims (N5m and N3m respectively).
“Please, how much did they eventually take as ransom for kidnapped Akala’s supervisor?” The source pleaded?
