Court Dismisses Oyo Deputy Governor’s Suit Challenging Impeachment Process
Justice Ladiran Akintola of Oyo State High Court has dismissed a case filed by the state’s Deputy Governor, Engr. Rauf Olaniyan, challenging the impreachment process to remove him from office by the House of Assembly.
The judge while delivering judgement on Thursday, said that originating summons filed by the claimant were purely legislative procedure and not judicial in line with the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
