Adeduntan Officially Declares Guber Ambition,Says “I will restore security of lives and property”
Says “I’m The Best To Wrestle Power From Makinde”
Prince Azeez Adeduntan, a cardiovascular surgeon, has officially declared his gubernatorial ambition under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Oyo state.
Adeduntan said he is the best to wrestle power from Governor Seyi Makinde and to give Oyo state its pace setter status back.
He said these during a press conference on Tuesday, in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.
His words: ” I promise the people of Oyo State to restore effective security of life and property, that is daily becoming a cause of serious concerns to residents of Oyo State.
“I present myself as a capable, competent and tested hand to make Oyo State greater.
“I am fully exposed locally and internationally-a Harvard university trained board certified cardiovascular surgeon ,a General surgeon, former professor of surgery at morehouse school of medicine Atlanta, an entrepreneur and a kind hearted philanthropist.
“Looking at other competitors, I am the best to wrestle power from Governor Makinde and give OYO state back her pace setter status.”
He presented his unalloyed seven points agenda to turn around the state as Security of life and property, health, education, Youth empowerment, Infrastructure, Social Welfare for the aged and unemployed, farming.
He said: “The manifesto of our party promises welfare programmes and building the capacity of our economy, so that we can provide jobs for the youths and make our country stable and secure.
“Let me also say that I had not invited you to condemn or malign any of the government either past or present, but to adequately present to you my seven point undiluted, committed and Unalloyed seven point agenda to turn around oyo state which are: Security Of Life And Property, Health, Education, Youth Unemployment, Infrastructure, Social Welfare For The Aged And Unemployed, Farming
“Before this time, I had contributed in no small measure to the progress and development of Oyo State.
“To mention but few, it was during my time as honourable commissioner of Health, that we began the much publicised National Health insurance Scheme which has helped in reducing death among pregnant women in the state.
“Also, equipping, fencing and painting of Adeoyo Hospital and other health care institutions, closure of substandard hospitals and health centres in the state, construction of Oyo State infectious disease centre which was later converted to isolation centre by the current govt.”
