Adedapo Lam-Adesina has said that he has relationship with many gladiators in the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Oyo State.
The youthful politician, who represented Ibadan North East/South East federal constituency between 2015 and 2019, made this known on a radio programme, BOTTOMLINE, anchored by Anu Omorinde on IBR 92.5, in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
He debunked insinuation that he has a preferred gubernatorial aspirant among the many in the APC.
According to him, he has good relationship with Teslim Folarin, Bayo Adelabu, AbdulFatai Buhari and host of others.
The former commissioner said that Folarin, who was a senate leader, supported his house of representatives ambition in 2011 though the duo were in different parties then.
“Senator Folarin supported my ambition, he calls me like he calls his son. He talks to me regularly. While I was in African Democratic Congress, he would call me, talk to me and persuaded me to return to the APC.”
“His wife calls me too, she is like my sister, whenever she sees me, she would ask us to talk. Folarin has the edge at what he does, He hasn’t told me about his gubernatorial ambition and when he does, if I compare him with other contenders, if he what it takes, I will pitch my tent with him and support his ambition.
”The fact that I was at Liberty Stadium for our party’s state congress doesn’t mean that I identify with a particular group,” he said.
He said that “I have relationship with Oloye Adebayo Adelabu too. He is someone I envy. I envy what he has done for himself, his brain and everything. He is a good egbon and we have done things together. Another person is Sen. AbdulFatai Bihari and host of others.”
He, however, expressed disappointment on the failure of the APC-led federal government to effect the change the party promised Nigerians before the 2015 general elections.
He noted that it was about time the truth be told saying that the APC at the centre has failed the youths.
He also spoke about the crisis rocking the Oyo State chapter of the party.
To him, the party is polarized, adding that the party lacks platform and that some people are hell bent in destroying the platform.
He advised party gladiators to sheathe their swords and form a formidable platform that will dislodge the ruling PDP in the state.
