APC Mandates Stakeholders To Go Back To Zoning, Void Gambo Lawan’s Congress

In a meeting presided over by the party’s caretaker secretary, James Akpanuodehehe, the All Progressive Congress, APC, has directed the stakeholders of the party from Oyo State to go back home and work through the zoning arrangements to end the many issues surrounding the October 30th controversial congress.

It should be recalled that, following the controversies that trail the party state Congress that saw some stakeholders holding press conference at a side and other having congress at the designated Liberty Stadium, now Obafemi Awolowo Stadium, Ibadan.

This newspaper can also understand that, prior to the October 30th development, the party had agreed and resolved to work through the zoning for the filling of the state officials of the party.

With the directive of the national secretariat of the party, it is clear that, the unauthenticated chairman of the party that emerged from Liberty Stadium congress, Hon. Isaac Ajiboye Omodewu, this newspaper can observe and believe that, the four candidate on the line of contention prior to the last weekend congress should be asked to step down or withdraw from the leadership tussle ongoing in the party.

In the well attended meeting, featuring stakeholders and gladiators from the state, the party leadership advice, and as s matter of fact, direct them to go back and revisit the zoning arrangements with the party elders council and zonal leaders of the party.
