An Oyo state-based non-governmental orgnanisation, Onirese House Foundation headed by Hon Dr Paul Olukunle Ajagbe has concluded its fifth free surgery for residents and citizens in Ogbomosoland.
Ajagbe, an house of assembly hopeful to represent Ogbomoso North state constituency, who spoke with ROUNDOYO said his priority is the well being of the masses who cannot aford to pay for high cost of sugeries and medical care.
According to him “over 1000 citizens and residents of Ogbomosoland had benefitted from the various medical outreach the foundation has embarked on, noting that over 100 out of them were operated for free.”
He further stated that the beneficiaries are weak and vulnerable persons, who could not afford the medical costs of the operations, noting that his foundation worked closely with the leaders of the People’s Democratic Party in Ogbomosoland, in screening the patients to identify cases that need surgery and others that only need treatment.
“I was motivated into this programme to meet the health challenges of the people and to complement the efforts of His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde to provide affordable and accessible healthcare delivery to the doorstep of the people.
“There is no administration in the history of Oyo state that has contributed so much and remained focus to healthcare development like the Makinde’s administration, this needs support and encouragement.”
He however called on well meaning Nigerians to contribute their quota to the society in any capacity they can do so.
