Eid-El Kabir: Oyedokun urge Muslims to live in love, embrace peace and pursue unity for development

Chairman, Ogbomoso South Local Government area, Hon Oyedokun Oyeniyi Timothy, Felicitated with Muslim faithful in the Council area and across the world on Eid-El Kabir.

This was contained in a statement by his Media Aide, Mr. Oluwafemi Ajiboye which was made available to newsmen in Ogbomoso on Tuesday.

Oyedokun urged the Muslim faithful to uphold their obedience to Allah in the spirit of forgiveness for one another.

He described Islam as a religion that upholds the spirit of love, peace and charity and preach harmonious living relationship with other religions adherents.

He called on Muslims to emulate the life of Prophet Ibrahim who almost sacrificed his son but was stopped by Allah to use a ram in place of his son, by promoting love and unity including tolerance with the situation the country finds herself in the wake of economic challenges and insecurity.

The Council boss also stressed that Muslims in his Council area and across Oyo state should live in love, embrace peace and pursue unity for development to thrive.

He commended the Muslim community in Ogbomoso South local government area for supporting the current administration led by Engr Seyi Makinde and for being good citizens.

Oyedokun, however urged them to expand the spiritual benefits of Sallah by ensuring and promoting peaceful co-existence with each other and people of other faiths and shun violence and religious conflicts in whatever form they may manifest.
