League of Imam and Alfas in Ogbomosoland holds prayer session for Gov Makinde at Ogunwuyi’s residence

The leagues of Imams and Alfas in Ogbomosoland today held a prayer session for the Governor of Oyo state, Engr Oluseyi Makinde at the residence of the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi.

The muslim clerics led by the Chief Imam of Ogbomosoland, Alh Asafa Sanusi appreciates the governor for appointing Otunba Ogunwuyi has his Chief of Staff, as they noted that Ogbomoso
land now has a strong voice in the current administration.

During his remark, Otunba Ogunwuyi urged them to continue to offer support and prayers for the Governor of Oyo state and peace, particularly in the face of security challenges.

He said despite that the governor is of christian faith, he has tried to been fair to the two major religion in the state in terms of appointments and engagements.

Ogunwuyi therefore called on the clerics to give the government advice that would uplift the state, as he equally on behalf of the governor gave each local government Chief Imam a ram and five cows for five the local governments alfas.

Among those present at the prayer session are, Alh Rasaq Gbadgesin Member Governor Advisory Council, Former Commissioner of Education Barr Olasunkanmi Olaleye, Hon Oyedokun Oyeniyi Timothy Chairman Ogbomoso South LG, Hon Isiah Adegbite Chairman Surulere, Hon Kabir Ayoade Chairman Ogbomoso North LG, Hon Teju Alabi Chairman Orire LG, Hon Seun Ojo Chairman Ogo Oluwa LG, all the five PDP local goverment party chairmen in Ogbomoso zone among others.
