Oyedokun Oyeniyi takes oath of office, promise best of governance.
Executive Chairman of Ogbomoso South local government Hon Oyedokun Oyeniyi Timothy has urged the citizens and residents of the council, particularly his political opponents, to put aside all differences of politics, and join hands with him to give the local government the best of governance.
Oyedokun, stated this on Monday at the House of Chiefs, Oyo state house of assembly complex, Ibadan, shortly after he was sworn in by the Chief Judge of Oyo state, Justice Muktar Abimbola, in the presence of the Executive Governor of Oyo State Engr Seyi Makinde, alongside 31 other elected local government chairman in Oyo State.
In a statement made available to newsmen by the Media Aide of the Chairman, Mr Oluwafemi Ajiboye, the LG boss noted that democracy has fully came back into existence in Ogbomoso South local government and Oyo State.
He ascertained that power and authority has returned back to the local government level.
According to him, he said he will rely on synergy at every stage with the state government and development partners to move the Local government to greater heights.
“My allegiance will remain to Ogbomoso South local government, Oyo State and her citizens and I promise all and sundry fidelities inherent in the office,” he stated.
He similarly promised to emulate, the good initiative and replicate the already existing developmental template of the governor ,which he noted has earned the state back it’s glory as Pacesetter.
It would be recalled that Hon Oyedokun Oyeniyi alongside 31 others were announced as the winner in their respective local government at May 22 OYSIEC conducted local government elections in Oyo State.
