Oyo Monarch calls on Makinde to save them from armed robbers who has attacked them seven times in twelve days.

The Alapa of Okin-Apa in Suurulere South LCDA, Ogbomoso, HRH Oba Prof John Akinola Akintola has,on behalf of other royal fathers in the area called attention of the Oyo State Governor Engr Seyi Makinde , Oyo State police commissioner and other security agencies to incessant robbery attacks along Ogbomoso-Oko in Oyo state.

Oba Alapa Akintola made the call while reacting to robbery attacks in the area,adding that almost seven robbery attacks were carried out by men of the underworld within the last twelve days.

The monarch,who said Ogbomoso-Oko road which is 11km road had no single police post/station,stressed that lives and properties are no more safe on this road,adding the police facility at Okin-Apa is yet to be used as the letter sent to concerned authority two years ago to handover the building to The Nigeria Police is yet to be given expected attention.

He laments that armed robbers has taken up the road which leads to Osun State which has been a major disaster both on social and economic activities of residents of the affected areas.

Oba Akintola appreciated commitment of Governor Makinde-led administration on adequate security of lives and properties in all nooks and crannies of the state,stressing that ‘Amotekun’ will complement efforts of security agencies in halting killings,kidnapping among others in the state.
