Eid: Onirese Foundation Felicitates with Muslims, Salutes Health Workers

A Non governmental organisation, Onirese House Foundation, has felicitated with all Nigerian Muslims on the occasion of the Eid-El-Kabir.

As all Muslims faithful are celebrating Eid- El-Kabir, Onirese House foundation in a statement released by its founder, Dr Olukunle Paul Ajagbe wished them happy Eid-El-Kabir.

He congratulated Muslims for the opportunity to witness another Eid-Ul-Adha, another name for Eid-El-Kabir, which is the festival of sacrifice, being the second of two Islamic holiday celebrated worldwide each year. Eid-Ul- Adha is considered the holier of the two celebrations.


He urged Muslims to imbibe the lesson of the Eid- El-Kabir and make it a duty to sacrifice for others and to always remember those who are less fortunate than themselves, noting that selfishness, greed and corruption are not supposed to have a place in their lives and in their dealings with one another.

“Eid-El-Kabir offers an opportunity to remember the submission of Prophet Ibrahim, Allhaimu Salam to Allah, by which he taught the world the value of sacrifice in relating with one another,” Dr Paul said.

He noted that the period was one for spiritual perseverance, temperance, introspection and retrospection with the Almighty Allah, and admonished Muslims to use the celebration to renew their commitments to the virtues of love and peace taught by the Prophet Ibrahim, as well as work towards achieving them.

Furthermore, the NGO urged Nigerians to embrace peace and adopt an attitudinal change in relating with one another, noting that change of mind and attitude would make Nigeria great and better for people.

As they also saluted the courage of health workers, especially for their dedication and sacrifice, whom they said were the first line of defence against the Coronavirus.

“Your role has not only saved many lives but also gone a long way in limiting the spread of the pandemic he stated”.
