Alao-Akala countered the statement credited to the Chairman, Oyo State Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (RUWASSA), Engr. Najeem Omirinde over the purchase of a borehole drilling rig.

During an interactive meeting with the Steering Committee on Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), drawn from various agencies of the State government on Wednesday in Ibadan, Omirinde claimed that no administration ever bought borehole drilling rig since since 1995.

He stated while hailing the Engr Seyi Makinde-led government for the purchase a rig.

But in Facebook post, Alao-Akala said as governor he procured thirty-three brand new borehole drilling machines for the state.

“Re: No Oyo Governor Has Bought Drilling Machine In 25 Years Except Makinde.
As Executive Governor of Oyo State, I procured thirty-three brand new borehole drilling machines.
#MoYaLookaway!”

The former governor and a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) also dropped pictures during the inauguration of the machines.
