Fola Akinosun felicitates with Alao-Akala at 70

Chief(Dr.) Fola Akinosun has extolled the exemplary qualities of Oyo State’s former Governor, Otunba Christopher Alao Akala as he becomes a septuagenarian.

Akinosun, a popular politician, philanthropist and educationist described Alao Akala as a politician who left enduring legacies for the people of Oyo State and has been given the privilege of seeing how these legacies are built upon.

Akinosun narrates that Akala built the state infrastructure and built the people; ” he did not know me, one on one, yet he knew my potential worth in politics. When my spirit was down, He made unforgettable impact in my life by allowing me Ticket to contest general election for the first time in my life after several futile efforts. Surprisingly, like no godfather will do, He funded it, without hoping to get rebate. When I was getting frustrated midway into the election, I felt I’ve wasted his money, yet he has a large heart, he built my courage saying, the opportunity given me is not to win by force, but to cross the hurdle and gain experience; otherwise I may conclude that all politicians are bad, feel frustrated and quit politics forever. ”

Akinosun has therefore, joined the people of Oyo State, Nigerians and other well wishers around the world to celebrate the APC leader and elder statesman whose distinctive leadership qualities helped to encourage Political CV of Akinosun himself, built many other younger politicians and transformed the Oyo State’s landscape.

It would be recalled that on assumption of office, Otunba Alao Akala clearly stated his vision, which is to leave Oyo State better than he met it, a vision he fulfilled so meticulously . He was branded the ‘Oyato’ Governor, that is; a Governor with a difference.

“Sir, the State and everyone you have reposed so much commitment, sincerely appreciate every of your contribution to mankind.

Everyone within and outside Oyo State continue to value your courage and steadfastness in contributing your own quota to Oyo State and Nigeria at large even years after leaving office.

As you celebrate your 70th anniversary, I say thank you and wish you many more years on this planet earth. May God keep blessing you with all good things that life offers. On my own, I pray to have sufficient grace of good time, to pay back in good measure .
