Oyo State lose another political titan as Ogbomoso born chieftain of the Alliance for Democracy, AD, Chief Debo Gbadebo is dead
Prince Gbadebo died in the early hours of today during a brief illness.
The Ogbomoso born politician and businesman represented Oyo state on Oodua group during the era of late Alhaji Lam Adesina adminstration.
Moses Ajao one of his ally who posted the news of his demise on facebook said “Erin wo, ajanaku sun bi oke” I woke around 4.00am this morning to ruminate deeply about our monumental relationship inspite of long age difference. Not known it was exact that time you left this sinful world.

As a chieftain of AD in the state, he has been in the party since 1998. Where he worked with the South West leaders when the party was started at Ijebu Igbo in Baba Abraham Adesanya‘s house. He started with the founding fathers, worked with them and lost with them. As he said during an interview last year during the electioneering process.
” I was with late Lam Adesina. I had started politics even before I gained admission to Yaba College, Lagos. I was with Chief Obafemi Awolowo, being a friend to his late son, Chief Oluwole Awolowo, since my college days. I grew to become the Publicity Secretary of UPGA National Vanguard; that was when the Action Group and the NCNC came together as UPGA. I was the youth leader before I became the Publicity Secretary under late Chief MCO Ajolochukwu’s presidency. I am not a greenhorn in politics.”
Prince Debo Gbadebo was also is a chieftain of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), in Oyo State, during the 2015 guber when the current Governor Engr Seyi Makinde was the party governorship candidate.
