Gambari town in Surulere local government area of Oyo State today witnessed heavy down which caused havoc in major parts of the town destroying property worth millions of naira including houses, shops, economic trees and household items.
Not less than 500 house roofs were destroyed and over hundred houses collapsed.
ROUNDOYO can authoritatively say that over 100 buildings collapsed, while trees fell on roads and vehicles in different parts of the town including several electric poles.
Our correspondents reported that the roofs of several buildings, including that of the palace and house of the monarch of the town, were blown off by the rainstorm.
Although no life has been reported lost but not less than 25 people mainly children have sustained several injuries.
