Soun, Onpetu and Onikoyi express gratitude to Open Salawu for providing emergency food support

The Soun of Ogbomosoland, His Imperial Majesty Oba Jimoh Oyewumi Oladunni Ajagungbade III has eulogized Engr Muftau Open Salawu for providing emergency food support to the people of Ogbomosho during this tragic era.

The monarch said this at his palace when he received the emergency food support for residents of Ogbomosho North local government, he said Engr Muftau Open Salawu has always proved that he is someone the society can rely upon, has he has always shown that the interest of the public particularly those who are underprivileged are paramount to him.

The monarch decried the way political office holders neglect the masses during hard time urging them to learn from Open Salawu philanthropic act who he said do give back to the society from his earnings without expecting any personal gain.

In the same vein, the Onpetu of Ijeru kingdom, His Royal Majesty Oba Sunday Olagbami Osekun III and the Onikoyi of Ikoyi, His Royal Majesty Oba Abdulyeeken Ayinla also praised the Ogbomosho born Civil engineer noting that they were surprised that Open Salawu who is not a political office holder will be the first person in Ogbomoso community to give those whom the government sit at home order has affected their means of livelihood.

Oba Sunday Olagbami said he was even amazed that Open Salawu delivered the relieve materials less than 24 hours after contacting him, he now assured that they will Will make sure the relief materials Grt to those who need it most through community development association chairmens.

It would be recalled that Engr Muftau Open Salawu on Friday 28th of March 2020, announced his decision to donate N3 million naira to three local government in his community, Ogbomosho North, South and Orire LG to buy food and other relief materials for those whose means of livelihood have been shut down due to impositions and restrictions being rolled out by the government to tackle the spread of coronavirus.

Also the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN and the Muslim community of the three local government also benefitted from the reliefs materials.

The reliefs materials were handed over to monarchs who will distribute to the underprivileged through the community development association chairmen.
