Open Salawu donate N3 million to cushion the effect of coronavirus

In a bid to relief his community from the effects of various impositions and restrictions being ordered by the government, Engr Muftau Open Salawu has donated N3 million naira to his community.

This was disclosed in a statement released to journalists, He said with boarders, bussiness being closed and movement being restricted some people most especially those who live on daily earnings will find it difficult during this pandemic.

The Ogbomosho born Civil Engineer, said the measures being used to contain the spread by the government is necessary but the implications are enormous mostly on the citizens whose means of livelihood have been shut down.

Engr Muftau thus donated the sum of N3 million naira to the ogbomosho community to buy foods and also share to the vulnerable. Among items to distribute are 100 bags of rice, 100 bags of semovita, 100 cartoons of noodles, cash and other relief materials which will be handed over to monarchs to distribute to the people in other to avoid political and religious segregation.

Furthermore he called on other well meaning individuals to give out and assist during this difficult time ” I am giving 3 million Naira to my community to buy foods and share to the Vulnerable. I hope more people will follow suit and assist the needy in this very difficult time knowing fully well most Nigerians live on their daily earnings.”

However the Oyo state APC chieftain enjoined the public to adhere strictly to various measures being rolled out by the government to tackle the spread of the pandemic.
