Breaking: Caretaker chairman appointed by the Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde have resumed back to their respective local government and local council development area.
This is coming a week after the APC led ALGON took over the councils and on the order of the Attorney General of the federation and Minister of justice, Abubakar Malami SAN.
This morning in Ogbomoso Central LCDA, Hon Aderemi Oluwaseun Adeyinka resumed back to office, same also Hon Ibrahim Alagbe resumed back as the caretaker chairman of Ogbomoso North local government.
In Ogbomoso South local goverment and Ogbomoso South West LCDA, Hon Timothy Oyeniyi and Hon Amusan Damilare also resumed back to their respective office.
It could be recalled that an Oyo State High Court sitting in Ibadan, the State capital, last week tuesday restrained the 68 sacked council chairmen and chairmen of Local Council Development Areas, LCDAs, from the forceful and illegal takeover of the council offices across the state.
The Court, presided over by Honourable Justice Moshud A.A. Abass, granted the four reliefs sought by the lead counsel to the Oyo State Government, Dr. Akin Onigbinde, SAN, including an order of interim injunction restraining the sacked chairmen from forcefully taking over the Local Government Councils or taking steps capable of causing breach of peace in the State.
